Lancome

I emailed L'Oreal about Lancome products specifically, and they wrote the following:

Cosmetic products may contain ingredients derived from animal sources such as lanolin and honey. Our products do not contain ingredients derived from bovine (beef) or porcine (pork) sources; we may use ingredients derived from fish.

This means that you still have to read the label, (Lanolin is derived from the glands of sheep). But you can rest assured that there are no other animal derived ingredients under different names.

I think Lancome products are okay, but I feel like they are targeted for a more mature demographic.

  1. there eyeliner and mascara have carmine which is a beetle. Well considering that a beetle is not an animal , they obviously did not mention it.
